The taste is basic with the taco seasoning. It's easy to make because the recipe is so simple but it is very unhealthy with its combination of meat, cheese and carbohydrates.

This was easy to make and turned out pretty well. My husband and one kid really liked it, and another kid thought it was okay and wouldn't complain if I made it again. I didn't have any velveeta, so I used a can of cheddar cheese soup. I don't know what the difference in taste ended up being (as I have only used velveeta once or twice), but I was pleased with the results and it saved me a trip to the store for something I don't keep in the pantry. I will probably make it the same way again.
