This is a good way to use up swiss cheese, which is not my favorite by a long shot. I didn't want to use our expensive bacon, so I instead put half a Beef Polska Kielbasa though a mandoline with a medium blade and then fried it. It doesn't compare to my recipe for Candied Bacon Grilled Cheese - but it was a solid sandwich.
