  • 4 cups pecans (for optimal digestion, it is best to soak the nuts for 2-6 hours before proceeding with the rest of the recipe...soak them in a bowl full of water along with 1-2 teaspoons of sea salt)
  • 2 tablespoons organic sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder (organic)
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder (I used 1/2 teaspoon because I was afraid they'd otherwise be too spicy for my kids...I think I'll add more next time)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons organic butter (melted)
  • coarse sea salt (to taste)
