I like this recipe, easy to adjust to your own tastes. Looked just like the photo when I made it the first time. Does take some pre-planning: the meat needs to marinate and if you want this dish on rice you will need to soak/rinse/cook rice ahead of time.

This is very tasty and colorful, just exactly what I was hoping for! But definitely NOT a weeknight dinner for our busy family!! I’d guesstimate this took me about 60-75 minutes to actually get on the table. I serve it with sticky rice made in the pressure cooker. I’ve also tried some substitutions... chicken breast instead of pork, jarred sweet and sour sauce from Aldi instead of the ingredients listed for sauce... and it’s always delicious.

A bit sour the previous time. so used some half sherry and half wine. Was great

Great—just need to remember to triple the sauce recipe next time. Also don’t need to cook the pork for as long as the recipe says.
