Description
Bring the flavors and smells of Thailand tor your dinner with this recipe for Sweet Thai Pork. This sweet Thai inspired pork dish can be made either from pork ribs or pork loin. Cut into small pieces the pork is added to caramelizing brown sugar along with shallots, soy sauce, fish sauce, and pepper. Sweet and salty, this Thai pork is best served with rice and steamed vegetables. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Cook time is 55 minutes.

- 125 grams brown sugar
- 4 shallots (finely sliced in rings)
- 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp. sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper (freshly)
- coriander leaves (for garnish, optional)

Directions
- Chop the pork ribs into bite-size pieces, or dice the pork loin.
- In a wok, add the sugar with 2 tbsp. water and heat gently until dissolved.
- Once dissolved, heat vigorously until the sugar caramelizes.
