I made this along side, turkey wings and oyster dressing. It was delicious! I used half heavy cream and milk. I will definitely make this again! Family loves it!

I made this dish for Christmas dinner and my family LOVED it! My sister is allergic to nuts, so I omitted that ingredient and it was a hit. Thank you for bringing this dish to the Yummly community!

This sweet potato casserole was so easy to assemble and so easy to eat! I blended the sweet potato pulp and other simple ingredients with my KitchenAid mixer until it was smooth as silk. And, that’s just the way it tasted...smooth as silk. This recipe was very sweet and the marshmallows (I used mini colored ones) on top of the sugar streusel made the sweetness complete. This will be among my go-to holiday fare from now on.

I've now made this recipe 8 times over the past three years on holidays and not just to have as a side dish during the rest of the year. This has become my favorite go to sweet potato casserole recipe and I won't switch for another one anytime soon! I've tried others in the past and I just love this one particularly. It's great with the crumble or marshmallows on top! The only two things I do differently is that I add a half teaspoon of cinnamon & when I mash everything together I turn off my hand held mixer and rinse the beeters under warm water and get the potato fibers out of the mix, it takes about 4-5 times to get all of them pulled from the mixture. It really makes the dish so much smoother and creamier! So definitely make this recipe you won't go wrong!

Cut the sugar in half (actually slightly less than half). Going into Thanksgiving, only 2 people were planning to eat it since the rest didn't like sweet potatoes. After rave reviews from the other sweet potato eater, the rest of the table decided to try it and EVERYONE loved it and asked for seconds. Even the pickiest of eaters. Will ABSOLUTELY make again. But I do recommend cutting the sugar in half. It was still plenty sweet.

It turned out great! I cut the amount of sugar in half which was perfect! It was still really sweet but really good.

Great casserole! Used orange juic instead of milk to make a more interesting taste.

Learned this recipe from my husbands mom. IT IS LIKE a desert! We love it I cook it year round
We don't use marshmallow though.
