Very good recipe. The written recipe can be a bit unclear. The basil, oregano, and garlic is meant to be the flavor of the crushed tomato sauce. I used a regular can of crushed tomatoes and added a handful of chopped fresh basil, 6 cloves of chopped garlic, and 1 tsp of dry oregano to the sauce. I also made it with heavy whipping cream instead of half and half due to it was all I had on hand. It came out delicious! Definitely a keeper for a comfy food choice.

Recipe was loosely thrown together and confusing. Listed separately ingredients items of basil, oregano, and garlic, but those separate ingredients never made it into the actual recipe. It must be assumed that they would be mixed in with the crushed tomatoes, when they are added, but there are no measured amounts of any of those three ingredients given.
