- 5/16 lb. ground pork ((may sub ground beef))
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 2 carrots (thinly sliced)
- 2 stalks celery (chopped)
- 8 oz. mushrooms (sliced)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 7 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream (mixed with 2 tablespoons cornstarch*)
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Made this and loved it!!! subbed BEEF STEW MEAT for the meatballs. Was so good, and soooo much easier than homemade meatballs and better than store bought frozen meatballs. Will make this again!

Making the meatballs by hand took way too long; would probably use frozen meatballs bedtime, or just not make it. Not worth the effort.
