- 6 ears fresh corn (white or yellow are both fine, but yellow makes for a prettier soup)
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. fresh basil (finely chopped, for garnish, optional)
- 1 1/2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme (finely, for garnish, optional)

One of my favorite soups! The buttery saltiness compliments the sweetness of the corn beautifully. If I don't feel like messing with whole corn, I use frozen and it comes out just as good.

It was good a bit thin. My family was definitely looking for kernels if I made it again, I don’t think I would purée it. I had some heavy cream so I added it after pureeing; it gave the soup a nice creaminess

I loved this soup! My kids didn't like the texture. I added bacon for extra flavor.

Surprisingly good for a soup with so few ingredients. Really tasty. Will make it again.
