The recipe took a bit longer than I'd anticipated, due to the necessity of baking the crust beforehand, so one must plan accordingly. Otherwise the outcome was fabulous and delicious - a real crowd pleaser!
I appreciate the bars more than a pie since they can be cut into easy-to serve/store individual bars well ahead of serving, unlike a pie which is typically presented as a whole, prior to cutting (I hope this makes sense!).
I substituted Almond flour for the wheat flour in order to make GF, though if one has serious gluten sensitivities or Celiac disease, the oats might be problematic.
