- flour (I use both all-purpose and whole wheat pastry flour)
- sugar
- baking soda
- baking powder
- jello (vegetarian, see above)
- vegetable oil
- ground flax seeds
- milk (plant-based, like soy, almond, etc)
- apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. jello (vegan strawberry)
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. ground flax seeds
- 1 1/2 cups milk (plant-based)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- food coloring (natural)
- 1 pt. strawberries (fresh, I used fresh, but frozen can be substituted)
- 1/2 cup vegan butter (softened)
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 strawberries (stems removed, chopped and mashed)
