- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger (minced)
- 1/2 green pepper (cut into sticks)
- 1 medium carrot (cut into sticks)
- 4 oz. mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 celery (ribs, sliced)
- 1 can water chestnuts (sliced)
- 1/2 cup beef stock (4oz, 120ml)
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste (or ketchup if you don’t have tomato paste)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. sesame oil (or walnut oil)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (or thickener of choice dissolved in)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 cup quick cooking brown rice ( substitute Basmati)
- 1 cup beef stock (8oz, 240ml, or whatever your rice calls for)
