- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil

- scallions (green parts sliced for garnish, optional)

I didn’t read this recipe very carefully when I came to make it, so I left out the entire deep frying process. This made for a runny but very tasty dish. I did buy date syrup (Soom Silan), but if you can’t find any, a little molasses will satisfy in the same way.
Next time I will make the breading and either bake or deep fry the tofu.
