  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (natural)
  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate (coarsely chopped)
  • 3 1/3 cups breyers natural vanilla ice cream

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°
    2. Spray inside of a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two opposite sides. Spray parchment.
    3. In a small saucepan, bring 2/3 cup water to a simmer. Add cocoa powder and whisk for about 30 seconds, or until mixture has thickened slightly. Set aside to cool.
