I had to make some adjustments because I’m on a special “low FODMAP” diet. I used round steak cubes, and sautéed them in TRader Joe’s garlic-infused olive oil then added a bottle of Guinness, green onion tops only, and simmered for about 15 min. Then I added the spices, seasonings, parsley, mushrooms and potatoes, and simmered for another 15 minutes until potatoes were tender. I used cornstarch as a thickening agent, and put all of it into a large casserole topped with one pie crust (I cannot have the pie crust but my husband can), baked for 35 min at 400 degrees F. It was delicious, and my British husband said it tasted like it came straight from a pub!
