This is a great recipe and very easy to do in the crock pot-I’ve made it a few times now. The peas get so soft and creamy that you don’t need to purée or blend it unless you have a really picky eater who doesn’t like to find vegetables in the soup. If you don’t have a ham bone, you can get a ham steak at the grocery store and use that instead-that also allows you to trim any fat off if you are trying to limit fat. For me, I am following WW and counting points, and this is a very friendly low point recipe that is filling. A great lunch!

So good! I followed the instructions to make in my instant pot. I used better than bouillon chicken stock and did not need to add any additional seasoning. I also just tossed in my frozen ham bone, so that was a huge bonus. Delicious.

Great soup! So easy and I like how it has directions for both slow cooker or stove top. It was a delicious way to use that ham bone from Easter brunch!
