Tasty and healthy. I think I added the tomatoes a little too soon - they stop the split peas from softening.

The flavor is good but the split peas take way longer than described. After 40-45 minutes the split peas were still crunchy. Next time I will use the Instant Pot pressure cooker or start boiling the peas separately while sautéing the veggies & spices.
