    I would have added a touch more maple. It was VERY tart, but it was still very good. Way better than the stuff you get out of a can!

    The recipe called for 1 tsp clove and nutmeg. This is way too much of such strong flavored spices. I made as requested and really, really wished I’d halved that amount. As I haven’t actually made it with half the clove and nutmeg, I cannot attest to it being more “balanced”, but I would suggest to anyone making it that they hold back on the amount listed.
