    This turned out great! I used ginger paste instead of just the dried ground ginger, baked it in a bunt cake mold and I made a praline glaze with some chopped pecans on top. Everyone love it for Christmas.

    Simple enough cake to make ... Here's my complaints: flavor is just okay & texture is good, but a little on the dry side, which is surprising considering the amount of butter this recipe requires. Baked this only 30 min., so if you give it a try watch the bake time. Probably won't use this recipe again, I'll probably look for a new recipe.

    Family liked it - good taste. But 40 minutes was too long. 30 is probably better

    I added a bit more spices than the recipe called for and I liked the flavor better. I also made it with cream cheese frosting...yum!
