I think I ended up with more filling than there should have been and the bottom layer got a bit soggy even though I drained my spinach really well before mixing it in. I would probably use more layers of the pylo dough if I were to make this again.

This is really tasty. I didn’t realize that 2lbs of spinach is a big batch and when you steam it turns in a little. Next time I will use more phyllo layers.

I did modify the recipe some. I used fresh spinach wilting it down a little in the same pan as the onion and garlic. I also used more phyllo sheets. Since I also like the feta cheese I added just a little more. But it was overall the same basic recipe which my family loves.
