I used my usual spaghetti squash cooking technique instead of the suggested one: cut in half, scoop out seeds, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, bake halves upside down for 45 minutes at 375. I think this method is easier and quicker than the recipe’s technique. Otherwise, the recipe takes a good amount of time, and I still have not mastered not cooking the egg in the sauce too long, so ours wasn’t particularly creamy. Tasty, but nothing special.

Great instructions. I would recommend one hour 15 minutes to cook squash. The suggestion to cut bacon crossways was brilliant!

I have made this many times it’s become a family favorite, always delicious and is an easy go to recipe for weeknight dinners.

I have an awesome recipe for regular pasta carbonara, but we are dieting so I thought we’d try this as a healthy alternative. Bomb digity! And just as good leftover. This will definitely be in our rotation. Our non-dieters enjoyed it as well ❤️

Really yummy! I used 3 slices of bacon cut up versus the 4 and at least half the salt the recipe called for and felt that was fine. Somehow had a ton of liquid with the finished product. Super delicious though!

Subbed the bacon with ground turkey, tofu or plant based sub would be good too.

It was good, not great. 1st time doing spaghetti squash, will definitely do other recipes.

Labor intensive, but worth it! I cut off the ends of the squash, split and seeded, oiled and salted it, and roasted it open side down. ULTRA tender!

This recipe was great. My family loved it and my daughter couldn't get enough of it.

Second time making this dish and I used coconut oil during the process and really seemed to bring out the flavor. I used turkey bacon instead of pork bacon.

I recently switched to a Keto lifestyle. I made this dish for my son's birthday, so I would have something to eat instead of regular lasagna. Even the pasta lovers loved this dish!

the squash had a nice texture, it was pretty garlicky, which was a good thing for me, I just thought the cheese taste would be more prominent considering the quality of the cheese I used. I would recommend trying though.

Excellent. If your looking for something different, this is delicious. My Grandson is very fussy, but he devoured this with no problem, I think it’s the bacon. Who doesn’t like bacon. Lol

cut roasting time to 40min. by cutting squash into rings, removed seeds, seasoned with oil, salt & pepper. added benefit of longer strands. also added tbl of butter for extra creaminess. has bacon, cant go wrong!
