Eh. It was only ok. I also used whole wheat pasta, which probably contributed to the lackluster flavor. Definitely triple the garlic and chili flakes for more flavor. I’d also caramelize some onions with this too.

Really good recipe! I just used half lb of pasta, few more spices like cayenne pepper, paprika, chili powder because I like it extra spicy.

This was not good. Lacked seasoning and any kind of sauce. I added lots of garlic and Italian seasoning and doubled the spinach and mushrooms. Also pan fried some chicken for protein.

Easy way to change up pasta. Would salt mushrooms near the end of cooking for better texture

This dish was really well done, but the pasta was disproportionate to the veggies. I would do half the pasta or double the mushroom and spinach next time. I'm also going to add a tablespoon or two of lemon juice next time.

we added 1 tbsp butter when cooking the garlic and 1.5 tbsp when cooking the spinach and it turned out perfect!! I think it would have been a little bland without, hence the 4 stars.
With those 2 changes though this will be a 5 star meal we cook often!!

Substituted artichoke hearts for the mushrooms. Kept the rest of the cook the same. Delicious!

Really enjoyed it! Next time I think I will add lemon juice because I'm missing some acidic component.

This was a really great way to break up your typical pasta dish! I went ahead and added a little more garlic and added about a tablespoon of butter and chopped bacon when adding the mushrooms.

It was super yummy! I added a ton of garlic, a few tbsp of butter, garlic salt, and a couple seasoned chicken breasts, twice as many mushrooms, and reserved closer to a half cup of pasta water to add more flavor.

Very easy, surprisingly tasty considering how few ingredients there are. I added some diced sundried tomatoes and that was it. Also, I don’t know how much pasta the author eats, but a whole pound? Way too much, I used about half that.

Very good! I was generous with the garlic and the red pepper and it had plenty of flavor.

Family loved it, will definitely make it again. Maybe with a protein next time.

It’s OK, though, I may be biased; I prefer traditional spaghetti with red sauce. But, I decided to give it a try. The flavor is incredible, but I felt it lacked something. Ended up splashing it with spicy tomato dipping oil and, WOW, what difference.

Used dried mushrooms, they don’t have the spongy texture fresh ones do and added truffle salt

Was “ok”. Could have used a little more of...something. Was way too plain for my liking, lacking in some flavor. But maybe that’s exactly how spaghetti aglio e olio is supposed to taste.

Threw in 250g of minced beef and was delicious. Perfect for an cheap and easy mid week dinner.
