I was skeptical at first (should have trusted you from the get-go, Mel!) but after mixing all of these ingredients directly in to my wok of stir-frying veggies, the proper aroma met my nose! As to taste, it is amazingly close! Not identical, but close and delicious. I scrimped on the fish sauce at first and it was a bad idea. Adding more brought up the salt factor that was missing. I admit that I used chicken broth instead of beef though. I will
Make a whole batch to keep on hand next time.
