Okay, I grew up with neck bones as a staple in my mother's kitchen and never loving it or hating it. That being said, this recipe made me look at neck bones as a more gourmet and tasty dish. The way the meat cooks on the shards of bone creates a succulent mouth watering meal. I ate these off the bone like popcorn (I probably shouldn't say that out loud but it's true.). The broth left at the bottom of the pan is amazing and great over rice or as the start of a soup base. I have also use the meat in other recipes after removing it from the bone. I have also been known to add more garlic because...I love garlic.
