Turned out spectacular! Impressed on how fluffy they came out. Only thing I changed was I subbed fresh chopped green onion in place of the yellow onion.

The batter even after sitting for an hour was too loose and made deep fried pancakes instead of the nice tight balls. Ratios are off on this recipe.

Very good, I made half the recipe for two of us. Plenty!!! Even tried powdered sugar on a few and Parmesan on others.

They turned out really good! We just felt like they needed a little more salt and sugar.

I am excited to make these again and make them aimed more for the kids (they didn't loke the spice) I may add some corn for them next time and see how it goes as they did that in the restaurant I worked for.

Simply amazing! Took me back to my decade living in TX!
Light, fluffy, crunchy, and the cayenne seasoning was perfect!!! I reduced the sugar to 2 Tbl, used a small yellow onion, and I had planned on mixing grated sharp cheddar into the whole batch before frying (but only managed to get it into the last 5 of the batch). Made exactly 30 hushpuppies!
I will most definitely be making these again! :)

Omg!!! They were awesome! My husband now thinks I'm a goddess in the kitchen lol. He already thought I was a domestic queen but this recipe was the catalyst to deity ;) lol. Everything was perfect but I think next time I'm going to experiment more with other fillings. My hubbie hates onions but said he could barely taste them (I only added half of an onion).
