  • 4 slices thick sliced bacon (sliced crosswise into 1/3-inch pieces, works with turkey or other cured meats, plus vegan options too, just add in extra oil to replace fat)
  • 1 sweet onion (small or medium, chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (if collard greens are slightly bitter, we suggest taste testing it. If collard greens are sweet, then do not add sugar)
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup baobab (powbab® organic, superfruit powder)
  • 2 pounds collard greens (stems removed, sliced into 3-inch-wide strips, can substitute kale or chard)
