Wonderful, used to make this all the time in the 1970’s. The homemade creamy pudding is delicious

I reduced the sugar in the pudding to one cup due to other commentators noting how sweet it was. It was still very sweet and rich. I also reduced the sugar in the meringue to 1/4 c. but I had to double the recipe for meringue to cover all the dessert. I prepared it in a 9x13 baking dish which may have been why the meringue didn't go as far. With these adjustments, it tasted just like my Mom used to make.
