We just got back from South Carolina and my husband couldn’t wait to try to figure out how to make South Carolina barbecue sauce. I cut the honey and sugar back to half as much as the recipe called for because he doesn’t like things to sweet. The flavors just kept changing. By the end of the day it was perfect. Not too sweet and not to tangy with just a hint of spice.
