My wife loved this more than I did. All in all it was a decent dish and super easy to make. The dates really added some interest to the flavor profile but sweet is not how I prefer beans. Even as mildly sweet as these were. I would do three stars but since my wife loved it I went four.

It turned out very good. I added a few drops of liquid smoke.
It will taste even better tomorrow,once the flavors have blended.
