The only recipe I followed was for the hollandaise sauce, which was delicious. I didn't feel like following the other parts of the recipe, but I did take the general idea and make something like it. I baked 6 pieces of salmon in butter, used an egg poacher for 6 eggs, and omitted the capers and onions. I served it on hearty toasted sourdough hamburger buns with cream cheese. Everybody loved it; it was really good. I had never made hollandaise sauce before, but the directions were easy to follow and I look forward to making this again. I am not the fastest cook and made all of that in less than an hour. It felt gourmet without taking all day to make!

I accidentally left out the lemon juice in the Hollandaise sauce and the dish was still delicious. I'm sure next time it will be even better.
