- 2 garlic cloves (crushed and minced)
- 1 russet potato (large, peeled and cubed)
- 1/2 cup celery heart (chopped, including leaves)
- 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cups vegetable broth
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 3 cups milk (any fat content, I used whole milk)
- 8 oz. smoked salmon (flaked, Not the lox style salmon. Use the thicker filet looking salmon)
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- fresh chives (chopped for garnish, optional)
- ground pepper (Extra fresh, for garnish)

Second batch was as tasty as the first, expanded the ingredients for a larger batch with a couple splashes of Cholua Sweet Habenero, oh yeah!
