It was pretty tasty! It’s similar to what’s served at my local Tex-Mex restaurant. However, it does have a paste-like consistency which is a little off putting

I let myself believe that brown rice could cook in a crockpot in 3 hours. 🙁

Super easy - I subbed chili pinto beans for the black, green enchildaa sauce for the picante, 1 can of corn for the frozen, and basmati rice for the brown. Huge hit.

this was a huge hit with the whole family. i used home canned pickled jalapenos instead of fresh to cut down on heat. everything else i did just as written. i love how tender the brown rice gets. my family said it was just like chipotle's rice bowls. we also served it with lettuce and tortilla chips. i will definitely be making this again.

This was delicious! Didn’t add the tin of green chili’s but upped the jalapeño. Was loved by the family and will be a firm favorite moving forward.

Very good. I’ve never made black beans and rice in a slow cooker. I didn’t added the chili’s because I didn’t have them on hand. I will definitely make this again.
