- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 onion (chopped fine)
- 1/2 green bell pepper (or red, chopped fine)
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika (don't skip this)
- 2 tsp. dried parsley (I used DIY Dried Herbs)
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- cayenne pepper (to taste, I used 1/16t)

Delicious! My teenager didn't prefer it - the lentils weren't tender enough for her. The rest of us loved it! Very good flavor! It took me back to my childhood days of eating sloppy joes!

Good Smokey flavor- don’t miss the meat. Made in instant pot due to time constraints and turned out well.
