- 3/4 cup brown sugar (I used dark brown sugar)
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 vanilla bean (sliced open)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
