Turned out great! I’ve varied based on ingredients I have on hand too and it’s still good. I find using the sweet potato (as opposed to a butternut squash for example) gives it a smoother, creamier texture which I prefer. An easy pantry item “dump” meal!

Simple instructions and few ingredients, which is helpful. Agree with other reviews that this recipe is somewhat bland on its own, though.

Cooked perfectly. Sweet potatoes are soft and easy to eat but not mushy. I added chickpeas to the recipe and red pepper flakes for more spice.

Added alittle bit of salsa to the recipe, substituted the water with veggie broth, and served over rice. Delicious!

Turned out pretty tasty! Maybe needs a little more spices but when served with cheese and sour cream on top it was delicious. Will make again

I didn’t use the slow cooker just simmered it for an hour. It needed more heat flavour for my taste so added more spices but it was delicious.

So good. Added a pinch of smoked paprika and real garlic and a lot of fresh cilantro.

A little bland but i think adding the optional cheese or sour cream would help. Quick prep and easy to make, would definitely make again!

Followed the recipe exactly and it came out so good! The fire roasted tomatoes are key.

Simple and delicious. I doubled the chili powder for my family's taste and they loved it.

It turned out great, had to cook a little longer but that was probably due to my crock pot. My only issue was it was kind of bland for my taste. No real flavor stood out, I'll make it again and add some spices to help.

Made this with some minor changes and it turned out delicious!
Instead of water I used a 28oz of Swanson chicken broth
2 medium sized sweet potatoes (cubed then mashed at end)
2 cans of Rotel roasted chili’s (did not drain)
I can of Busch chili beans without meat
1 can black beans (drained but not rinsed)
And One Carrol Shelby chili kit for the seasonings.
Cooked in crockpot on high for 4hrs
