This may be a good crockpot soup but it is not a gumbo. A gumbo must have a roux and the Cajun trinity- bell pepper, onion and celery. No carrots. No cream.

It's pretty good. Next time I would use WAYYYYYY LESS broth (I used a full 4 cups), as it is really watery, which is not quite what I'm used to and also maybe add some crushed tomatoes. I also added chicken instead of sausage, and used a lot of extra cajun seasoning to give it more flavor and kick.

Excellent. i will admit, i couldnt find cajun seasoning at the store so I picked up creole seasoning. After a google search, I decided to add a little paprika and cajun. i added a little too much for our taste, but them men in the family loved it. I will make this again. The simplicity of the recipe does offer a lot of natural flavors. My hilusband and kids have asked me to make it again. This is huge. LOL

Delicious! To save time, I didn’t sauté the vegetables first this time & it still tasted great!

Very tasty , I just still added a bit too much vegetable stock (4cups) . But I also added chicken as well and it added a great touch !

Tastes great. Changed the sausage to Farmers sausage and it worked out wonderfully. Everything else I left the same.

My neighbors sat down with me and just raved about the taste not much left I have never had gumbo. I loved it
