Would not change the recipe at all.
Great dinner for fall and winter

Really good. I cooked the bacon separately and used the fat to make the flour mixture instead of butter. Also used half and half.

soup was good but for flavor reasons would suggest using regular butter vs unsalted.

This is so good. I didn't use any onion, but generously sprinkled some chives in and it still had really good flavor. Husband loved it too!

I made this last night and it was amazing! I substituted bacon for celery, carrots and green onion. I will keep this recipe, I was super impressed!
