Very nice and ever so tender. I added two parsnips and a squirt of ketchup and French mustard in addition to using half veg and half beef stock too. I could not really detect the coffee but it probably served to assist the flavouring. I also added dumplings for the last 30 minutes. The meat just fell apart.

The recipe was very easy. Using exact recipe we thought it turned out just ok. Not the most flavorful pot roast. I cannot say that I would make this one again.

Simple to make and turned out delicious. Made per directions except that I used beef stock instead of veggie since I had it on hand.

Very good. Did not have broth, onions or garlic, so used water and onion powder, and it was still good.

I prepared the recipe exactly and had very high hopes. I was good, but was lacking the punch I anticipated. I'll go back to my standby recipe.

Amazing and so tender and moist. I'm going to cook with coffee more often as it added so much flavor to the meat and the gravy was phenomenal!

Rated 5 for ease of making and the meat didn't get too dry. Kids and adults liked it. We would add more salt next time and probably make the day before to skim off the fat after a night in the fridge

Lovely mmmm. I added celery, a packet of onion soup mix and a can of diced tomatoes to get a tangy yummy flavor.

I also added onion soup mix. It came out juicey, tender, and came apart just by taking a fork against the grain of the meat.

10/31/22: Used 1 lb chuck roast seasoned with steak seasoning. Carrots, onion, celery & potatoes. Used pot roast seasoning packet with 1 cup of coffee. Cooked 8 hours.

wonderful! added one envelope onion soup mix and a little ketsup. tomato is a natural meat tenderizer.
