- 400 grams butterbeans (cans, in water, rinsed and drained)
- 4 pork shoulder steaks (thick)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 400 mL cider
- 100 mL chicken stock (/3½fl oz strong, good quality)
- 30 grams butter
- 1 braeburn apple (peeled)
- 1 tsp. cornflour (mixed with 1 tbsp cold water until smooth)

Really tasty dish. I made with eight thinner pork loin chops and it fed three adults with two portions for the freezer. I would recommend. I fried the onions with garlic in the pan after frying the chops rather putting directly into slow cooker, I think it helped the flavour.
