I made this with skinless, boneless chicken thighs instead of bone-in. My chicken fell apart (as it usually does in the slow cooker) and this is why I don't use bone-in meat. I cooked mine on low for 3.5 hours. It tasted fine - I think next time I will use real garlic and ginger instead of the powder. It is a simple and quick recipe. It wasn't extraordinary, but because it's easy it will be on my rotation of slow-cooker meals for busy days. Also, my 5-year-old ate it with almost no complaining so it was a win for dinner for us.

Turned out pretty good! Chicken got a little dry but I had the crockpot going for maybe 12 hrs on low which was probably too long. Next time I might add a bit of water just to make sure.

Great recipe, but bummed the recipe didn't list the chicken thighs to transfer over to my shopping list.
