I followed the directions exactly. The potatoes were so stiff they would not have been edible. I kept adding liquid and they seemed to just get stiffer. The flavor was fine. It was good we had a lot of gravy, or I could not have served them. Even though I stirred and watched them, some burned on the bottom, and I had to pick out the burnt pieces.

Amazing! These were the best mashed potatoes I have ever had! I followed the recipe and they turned out perfectly! Unfortunately, it caused me to reach for seconds....so maybe I shouldn't make them again?? They are so full of flavour, you don't need to add any additional butter or seasoning! Yummy!

Four hours on high is crazy. It was burning on the edges after 2 hours. Had to add liquid and turn it down to low.
Other than that, yup they're mashed potatoes. Nothing special about the recipe itself, it's the cook time/process that I was interested in.
