    This was so great! However I tweaked it to suit my needs for dinner, I didn't use the crockpot because I was short on time. Instead, I grilled the chicken to almost done and poured the sauce over top, brought it to a boil, and then simmered for about 30 minutes to be safe (checked it before removing to make sure it was up to temp). I also followed some other people's suggestions about making more sauce for this volume of chicken. To do that I just added more rice vinegar, soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Lastly, I threw frozen broccoli in before bringing it to a boil, I loved it! sidenote: my local grocery store doesn't carry rice wine vinegar so I used rice vinegar! Still tasted great!

    It was very sweet, and the sauce became gelatinous the next day when I ate the leftovers. It was very off-putting

    Flavor was good but chicken cooked too long in the crockpot. I would cook in a pan on the stove. Chicken was mushy.

    Instead of using the slow cooker I fried the chicken pieces so they would stay crispy. I heated the sauce ingredients until the sauce thickened. I then added the crispy chicken. My family thought it tasted close to General Tso’s Chicken and would eat it again.

    Browned the chicken and cooked it for 3.5 hours on low, stirred it once done and left it on “keep warm” for about 45 minutes while I made the rice and cooked some broccoli. Didn’t use the sesame seeds & it tasted great either way! Super juicy, not over cooked which is hard for me to do. Only wish the breading was slightly thicker but you could probably just fry the chicken before hand or add more cornstarch to make the coating thicker. Awesome recipe with just enough spice! Even picky my 2.5 year old ate it!

    I browned the chicken in the morning and put it in slow cooker with the sauce and cornstarch. By the time I got home from work 8 hours later the chicken was burnt on the edges of the slow cooker. Was disappointed. Next time I will not brown the chicken first and I will add cornstarch at the end of the day.

    turned out very well. my husband said it taste like there was peanut butter in it. had great flavor and i made it over jasmine rice and added broccoli. i will make it again.

    Pretty good! My sauce thickened up too much so there wasn’t much on the rice but other than that great!

    Followed the recipe, cooked for 3h and it came out dry. Flavors were okay but it was missing something. I don't think I'll make this again.

    I agree with everyone here it way too sweet so I added some sambal chili paste and sriracha and added more vinegar so it was more balanced. That made it much better!

    Mixed reviews my husband thought it was alright but too sweet. I didn’t like it at all. However, I knew I was risking it being too sweet when I read the reviews so I wasn’t too surprised
