Make it just they way the recipe suggests and it is a crowd pleaser every time! So much flavor and so unique!
What I like especially is that it’s a very different flavor, but when I make other Mexican meals with the leftovers the flavor adds to the dish doesn’t take away/change the flavor profile. I keep some in the fridge with the juice and it turns out better the next day, and some without the juice for other recipes. Sooo good!

Wonderful! I used our instant pot and it came out great. Our pork butt shrank more than expected, so the only disappointment is not having more leftovers.

The fresh squeezed OJ & Lime + Zest from both + Oregano + Cumin make a stupendous roux for pork. Used Dutch Oven in stove on 300 degrees for 5 hours ( pork roast at 200 degrees & perfect for pull/shredding vs Crock Pot ). Made Cuban Sofrito as a sauce for the pork. Black Beans & Rice the final medley. Crowd pleaser menu 👍🏼💯

Delicious! My husband is from Cuba and said it was very tasty and authentic. Making it again!

this is a great dish! i uses equal parts lime and orange juice which worked out well. i would say you only need 1/2 of the recommended oil.

i used it as a base for leftover smoked chicken. no pork. and i reduced liquid. then added a small amount of corn starch to thicken. finally about a tablespoon of sugar. to cut tartness.
served over rice.
next time i will follow recipe using pork.

I’m picky with my cooking. I cooked 6 hrs on an Instant Pot high heat slow cooker setting.
The meat was rather dry even with intermittent basting.
It needs a touch less citrus and definitely some heat/spice.
Would recommend cooking 8hrs and/or doing a marinade before hand.
