This was great! I did it in a pot on the stovetop instead. I think there’s just a bit too much rice, which expands & soaks up a lot of the liquid. It’s an easy fix though, either use a bit less rice or add more liquid like I did (either more stock or half & half).

My wife and I really enjoyed the recipe. Suggested that I should make for the holidays..

The flavor was great, but the texture was weirdly thick. Especially after re-heating it, the consistency was more like the inside of a pot pie than a soup. Not sure I'll re-visit this one.

It was amazing..It super quick to prepare and dump in the crockpot. It was a hit for my family. My kids even ate "soup".

Made this a couple weeks ago, it was delicious! Will definitely make again!

made this on the stovetop instead of crock pot and it was wonderful. we enjoy really thick soups so this was perfect but you could always add more liquid to make it thinner if you want. left out the mushrooms and it was good without them.

While I had high hopes for this recipe, it was not that great. Like the other reviewers said, the wild rice got rather mushy and mucky after being in the crockpot for so long. The flavoring was also a little bland.

just ok. very thick. probably wouldn't make again.

Cooking the rice for 8 hours like the recipe says renders this more of a mush than a soup.

Soooo yummy. We did things slightly different- changed the spices some to what we had, didn’t season the chicken breast before cooking - little things like that. Definitely a repeat recipe. Super simple. Super tasty.

It tasted great, but it did not look like the picture. It was much more like a stew than a soup.

This was a very easy recipe! It tasted good! For our family’s taste, next time I will add more thyme and rosemary! I loved how easy it was and it has “everyday” ingredients.

The herbs made this pretty tasty, but i felt like it needed more salt and acidity.

My husband didn't think it had much flavor, but I got a few bites from my toddler.

Incredible flavors! I made this in a pot on the stove instead of a slow cooker (since I don’t own one) and it took much less time but still turned out fabulous.

So good! It’s presently 6 degrees where I live today, so I’m sure any soup would’ve been good, but this one was a great choice! Filling, and tasty! About 8 am this morning I started smelling it. I’m glad I was able to control myself while it finished cooking! Lol. Highly recommend, and will definitely make again!!

It was a lot thicker than the picture, but it tastes ok. Made it for Christmas lunch (casual), and wished it looked as pretty as the picture on here
