After trying many slow cooker chicken recipes that fall very flat, this one came through. I didn’t have fresh thyme so I added dry to the rice mixture. My crock finished the chicken in six hours, so be sure to check the temp if you don’t want dried meat. Also the broiler step is a must! Very good and easy.
