- 3 apples (cubed, I used Gala apples)
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 pinch allspice
- 1 pinch cloves
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (you can use honey if you'd like)
- sliced almonds (for topping, optional)

Mmm! It was good! I didn’t see the message about using only steel cut oatmeal until too far in to turn back so I used rolled oats and hoped for the best. It was very soupy and looked more like apple sauce so I cooked another cup of oats on the stove and added to it. That did the trick and it was a huge it in our house. Will try again with steel cut.
