It was really good! Don’t be afraid to throw in some siracha or extra spices, in my opinion. I did and I still wanted just a bit more kick, it makes a lot and the creamy sour cream is excellent but that really cuts done on the spice. If you have a spicey palate go extra heavy on spices. Everything else on point!

Loved the flavours although I substituted sour cream with greek yoghurt.
It made good leftovers the next day with suet dumplings.

OK I've just followed for the quantities, but didn't do the slow cook (3 hours on stove) as of the the beef stripes I used didn't required it, only did 1h of Ditch oven. Added a good quantity of cayenne and caraway seeds too. loved the taste anyway.

I've done this many times now both in the oven and in a slow cooker. My only bit of advice is do try to get Hungarian paprika. It has a completely different flavour and makes it much more authentic

Easy made slow dish. Very tasty but for my taste a little too much paprika in it, personal taste of course. I always do a recipe to the letter initially but feel I will make this again and perhaps half the paprika in it. It didn’t spoil my enjoyment of it though!
