We do a variation of this. Instead of cornbread or biscuit mix on top, we add cooked elbow noodles to the meat mixture, pour into a casserole dish sprayed with Pam, top with the cheese and bake 350 for 30 minutes.

It was good but I prefer it in a sandwich.

Prepared as written, and it tastes exactly as you would imagine lol. Great comfort food. Not entirely sure why i had to butter the dish to prepare for baking, and next time will spray with Pam out of ease and saving of unnecessary calories (not that this is a calorie counting recipe lol). Just for kicks might add corn next time, or use cornbread batter in place of baking mix. Regardless, yummy!
