- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced, I used the stuff in the jar – much easier than mincing. But be careful – it’s a lot more potent!)
- 2 tsp. grated lemon zest (I surprisingly refreshing flavor to the sauce!)
- 4 tsp. flour
- 2 cups milk (I used 1%)
- salt
- 4 Tbsp. low fat cream cheese (I use the Neufchtel – lower fat than low-fat cream cheese!)
- 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese (again – I go with store-bought; it’s a time saver)
- 6 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 16 oz. noodles (whole-wheat Fettuccine, cooked)
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. onion salt
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley (I used the store-bought spice for the chicken – fresh would also work)
