Turned out great! Just enough heat and awesome flavor. The only thing I changed was I substituted low sodium chicken broth for the water.

This recipe always comes out right. I leave out the cayenne pepper. We don’t like spicy.

Very good! I think that much crushed tomatoes was too much. Will use less next time. Added more salt as felt it needed it. Have made it a couple of times and will make it again.

Husband and 2 year old loved it! I liked it but it felt like it was missing something. Pretty good flavor.

Love this recipe .... make it over & over ....Only thing I changed is instead of water I use chicken bone broth..... I freeze left overs into individual portions, in ziplocks..... great fast meal

Like many other commenters have done, this an excellent base recipe to tweak to your particular liking. I like my chili to be watery to begin with and then simmer down to concentrate the flavor. I doubled the kidney beans, added 2 tsp of brown sugar added about a cup of water and then half a small can of tomato paste and simmered for an hour. I also used diced tomatoes instead of crushed tomatoes.
As far as the spices went, I doubled the garlic and did about 50% more of all the spices but the chili powder to account for the extra kidney beans I put in there. With all of that, I added about 3.5-4 tblsp of chili powder. You can't go wrong with more. I simmered this for a little over an hour with the lid partially on and then the last 10 minutes I mixed in the cayenne and cumin.
Top with sharp cheddar, sliced jalapenos and maybe some sour cream if you're up for it.
It turned out amazing.

Great turkey chili recipe! I left out the water and just used the liquid from the tomatoes. I also substituted black beans for the kidney beans, added frozen corn and diced tomatoes. We love this one so I always double everything so we have leftovers.

Very easy and good. I added a little more garlic and a little extra of the spices as I used 1 1/2 pounds of ground turkey.

Tastes great. I bit more more soupy than I would have liked. Next time I won't add the 2 cups of water.

loved it!! The seasonings are spot on! burst of flavors..I used 2 cups of chicken broth instead of water and added in 1 bell pepper and I use 1 large fresh tomato instead of the canned. I also added cheddar cheese and crackers on top after it was done...Delicious!! I have made this 5 times already in the past 2 months. My family loves it!

I added a little bit of extra chili powder to make it a little spicier but it was great and easy to make.

It turned out great. Very spicy but loved every bit. I would make it again and recommend to a friend. Great cool day chili.

Turned out great! Love it!
I don't like chili with a ton of additional ingredients so this was perfect for fussy eaters.

It was "okay". I had to add additional chili powder, because the excessive tomatoes made it less spicy. I recommend either less crushed tomatoes or diced tomatoes instead.
